Shoe Scuff Solved

About three months ago, I wondered what was scuffing the toe of my shoe.

Yesterday, I figured it out.

My classroom door has a door stop on it, and some students compulsively put it down. It didn’t matter as much yesterday, but when it was cold outside, I was protective of the warm air in my classroom and would rush to put the doorstop up.

Instead of bending over to lift it by hand, I used my foot:

And that’s what left the scuff marks. Mystery solved!

Yay! I love solved mysteries! I am very glad you noticed!

Speaking of noticing, that is a very nice painted line to show where Not To Walk so you don’t get clobbered by the door. We have two doors in the CDC basement that have been switch from in-swinging to out-swinging, and they need lines like that painted. Thank you for the reminder!
