Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

The Journey Back

The day started early. We were going to be on the road by 6:30am. I took one last picture of my bedroom to remember it:

We also had one last drive on Ireland’s crazy roads – narrow, twisty, and beautiful.

The plane ride from Dublin to Chicago was just ok. There was a lot of turbulence, and some if it was really quite substantial. I did not get sick though, and I did not make too many noises. I warned the kid next to me that I might. He was a good kid though – part of a mission project from his church. Plus, he was watching Lord of the Rings at the same time I was. You can’t tell it from this picture, but believe me, it was true:

Chicago was kind of along layover. We got some food, chatted, and laid on the floor. By the time we were arriving in Lincoln, the sun was setting. I got a picture out the window!

What wonderful, wonderful trip! I would perhaps say more about it, but I’m so, so tired. I must go to bed…

It was great to be there and good to be home. I was so sleepy on the flights I don’t remember much of anything, so thank you for documenting it. 😀
