I’m having some dental stuff done this morning. If things happen as planned, I will have two teeth taken out – the two front teeth on the bottom. After some bone grafts and some orthodontic work, the two teeth will be replaced by one implant.
I have been joking a lot about how I’m not going to be able to take a bite of anything for a while. In case that’s really true, I did take a picture of my peanut butter and jelly sandwich during lunch yesterday. Behold, my last first bite of sandwich:
Then for dinner, I made grilled cheese – another sandwich! Behold! My REAL last first bite of sandwich:
Wait… do I always bite that same corner first when I eat sandwiches?
Anyway, I’m a little freaked out about undergoing such a big change, and one that will last some months before things get back to a new normal. But I’m glad the underlying problems were detected and can be addressed before the problems get worse.
I have been wondering when The Big Day is, and am glad to know that it is happening. You are in my prayers for the pre-procedure anxiety, success for the actual procedure, and some way to figure out how to eat sandwiches in the near future. 🙂
