A Sign of Spring April 18, 2020 / Brad / 4 Comments The first April I lived here, the tree in front of my building had been pollarded. The trim job left it with no blooms. This April, the tree is blooming. It’s beautiful! The view from my lanai is also gorgeous. It’s spring! What? Is that the same as pruned, trimmed? Hhmmmm Reply Lauren April 18, 2020 at 6:53 am Holy cats! It’s like that tree has a spring hat! I’m glad it’s so close to your lanai! I am glad Debbie asked the question, because that was a new word for me, too. You are too smart regarding all that plant stuff. Reply Brad April 18, 2020 at 9:42 am Pollarding is when all of a tree’s branches are chopped off. There’s a picture of this tree right after the procedure in this post: http://bradaptation.com/2019/03/01/signed/ Reply Kristi April 18, 2020 at 4:05 pm It looks like you have huge marigolds in that tree.
