Yesterday was my first day of school! It was good. I was worried that these kids would somehow not be like all the other middle schoolers I’ve taught, but they were regular ol’ wonderful kids.
It was great to be back in the classroom again. This was a looooong summer because of when Maui ended and when this school started. The anticipation was difficult.
Yesterday was only a half day, and only with our homerooms. Today I meet the seventh and sixth graders. I’ll be so glad to get back to a routine and feel the rhythm of school again.
Now that is a great kickoff to a new year – gathered in worship together! You really do have a lovely church. I pray that you have a great rest of the week and a wonderful year!
