Happy Birthday to my niece Rachel! Woo hoo!
The sunrise was particularly pretty yesterday. I didn’t notice it until I looked at the picture later, but the sun is shining between the two eucalyptus trees. Fun!
After school I was walking to the photocopy machine, and the sunlight looked weird… kind of orangish/yellowish… When I looked at the sky, I saw why. There was smoke in the sky. It was from a far away fire. When I commented on it, nobody reacted with surprise. Apparently, it happens a lot here.
As I went to my truck, I saw something else:
The white specks are ash! That fire must be really burning, wherever it is. (I try to listen to the news here, but I still don’t know place names, so I mostly don’t understand what’s going on)
Oy. Your state is on fire. That ain’t good.
