A Fun Fourth

What a great Fourth it was!

The day started with a pancake breakfast, and a sighting of Crazy Pants Man. He wears these pants every year, and it’s not a proper Fourth unless I see him:

Next, it was off to the town square for the arts and crafts booths. But first, a stop to see the cloggers:

The weather was nice – not hot, so walking the square was quite pleasant.

We stopped for lunch at Godfather’s Pizza, which is always on my list to eat when I visit Nebraska. I can check that off the list!

Next, I went to hear Tim sing in a choir. It was lovely. The concert was in the movie theater, so the seats were quite comfortable.

Beth has been getting selfies with an unsuspecting me in them the last few days. Here’s the one from yesterday:

…and here’s the one I got of her while we were waiting for the parade to start:

The parade was awesome. Lloyd got some choir risers at an auction, and we stood on them during the parade. Lots of people joined us for our annual Interactive Experience.

There were only three Czech queens. Quite a low number this year.

After the parade, we had a delightful barbecue at Brent and Sandra’s, then closed the evening out with fireworks at Harold and Beth’s.

We saw Mr. Crazy Pants at the library book sale! (That text was me from Lloyd’s phone.)

Your pictures perfectly capture such a great day. Good ol’ Seward and it’s celebratory spirit. For your other readers, here’s a little glimpse into the whole experience: https://www.1011now.com/2024/07/04/seward-welcomes-thousands-sprawling-4th-july-celebration/?fbclid=IwY2xjawD0s_dleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHaXfQOJEJdyv-FxBWkTi77G-bnLBvQsdGasSnBq2bDPlceoYgYys-t1OxA_aem_qYVfLOw1zyOtpigjtH35tQ
