Yesterday our wrestling team went to the tournament we’ve participated in for the last two years. A weather forecast of freezing rain almost canceled things, but it was warm enough that all we got was rain.
Our boys did well. They wrestled hard and wrestled smart. I was particularly excited to see such good instincts from our team members. For having little experience, they really moved well. I was also impressed by how well they listened during matches.
I was proud of them.
We had three medalists this year. Awesome!
Congratulations to your wrestlers! Does this mark the end of the season or will there be another tournament?
We have one more dual (a contest against just one other school) on Friday, then the season is over. It’s been a good year.
Are you finishing earlier this year?
Waitaminute: did you type “…they LISTENED…”?? That alone would have been worth the price of admission, eh? But seriously, folks – well done, good and faithful wrestling coach and team! I regret I’ve only ever gotten to see about 15 minutes of the whole season’s matches – nobody’s fault but mine [and the fact that I tend to want to grade papers and plan before leaving for home instead of bringing work home with me]. I really do enjoy giving support to our athletes, even when I have absolutely no idea how y’all score those matches. Truly over my head. Always. Still.
Way to go wrestlers & coaches!!! That is fantastic!
