One of my seventh grade students is a member at my church, but his family came from a non-Lutheran background, so he wasn’t baptized as a baby. He wanted to be baptized, but we don’t have a pastor right now, so he asked me. I was deeply honored.
He wanted to get baptized in the ocean. How exciting! We met yesterday. It was foggy and cool.

The ocean water was cold, but not as cold as I expected. The waves were big. It was hard to time the baptism so we wouldn’t get swamped. We worked it out. The student’s dad helped.

There was a gathering at their house afterward. Good food and fellowship and conversation. What a great day!
I can only imagine how it felt to be a part of this exciting day for him. Both of you will likely remember it for the rest of your earthly life. Thank you for being the instrument for this Means of Grace, Brad.
Beautifully said, Carol – that was perfect!
What a wonderful day! That is a tremendously glorious day, and I’m so happy that you got to be a part of it. :). Thank you, God!
That is super cool!
This is so cool! I’m going to put a little blurb in our church newsletter about it!
So awesome…made me a little teary! <3 God is good!
